Chapter Philanthropy and Service
Each Zeta Tau Alpha chapter supports our national philanthropy, Breast Cancer Education and Awareness, and the ZTA Foundation. Because service is an integral part of the Zeta Tau Alpha experience, as a chapter, we also identify opportunities to meet community needs through local service projects. These projects range anywhere from reading to elementary school kids, making dinners for our neighbors who need it most, service drives, and many more. Our chapter serves our philanthropy and our community in a variety of ways. In our ongoing efforts to support breast cancer education and awareness, our chapter hosts two main philanthropy events each year, Crown Classic and Shagathon. Shagathon is our largest fundraising event of the year held in the fall. The event is filled with a catered dinner, homemade desserts, crafts, games, live music, and of course, dancing. Our favorite part of the event is the Survivor Spotlight, where we invite women who have battled breast cancer to be honored during the event. Crown Classic is our spring fundraising event and is known for the famous corn hole tournament our sisters put on. Both events allow our sisters, local businesses, families, and friends to support our philanthropy!
