New Member Experience

The Zeta Is Forever New Member Experience emphasizes the values of the Fraternity, found in our Creed. The weekly lessons are: Seek Greatness, Seek Understanding, Seek Purpose, Seek Sisterhood and Seek the Noblest.

Prior to the weekly meeting, new members complete an online educational workshop regarding that week’s topic. These online workshops allow for fewer lectures and more discussion and engagement with other new members during meetings, building overall sisterhood and a connection to the Fraternity. The meetings include icebreakers, a review of the online module, interactive activities and a personal reflection.

All first-year Zetas participate in the New Member Experience, CommunityEdu, Initiation and two post-Initiation lessons (Seek Meaning and Seek Commitment) during the same semester as when they join the chapter.

Theta Zeta could not be more excited to announce that for 2020, the new member program has gotten a complete make over. This all new, CROWN program has been transformed and updated in order to help new members build relationships with one another within their pledge class, as well as with their future Big Sister's and alumnae. It is a fun and effective way to show new members that Zeta is forever. 

This program will help members become Initiated and build knowledge of the Fraternity. The program is based upon The Creed of Zeta Tau Alpha and the values set forth by our founders. 
There are seven lessons within the new member program that each explain a part of the creed at its relationship to the chapter and its members. Through the use of fun and interactive games, short videos, and online quizzes, new members will learn the true values of being a sister in Zeta Tau Alpha. 
By the end of the program each new member will be ready to pass the initiation test and be one step closer to becoming a fully initiated sister. Post initiation, the program closes with two final lessons that reiterate the honor of being a sister in Zeta Tau Alpha.
